A four month long labor of love and creativity is now public for all to admire. This year, Arhaus Birmingham designers Bridgette, Kina, and Jarvis, took on the annual Decorators’ ShowHouse in Birmingham. The ShowHouse is a tradition that allows decorators to push their creativity, all while supporting the Alabama Symphonic Association, and the young scholars who are the future of the orchestra.

Designers wanted the dining room to flow with the rest of the Lemak estate—classic and traditional. For the larger furniture pieces, the Cerea table and Ostuni credenza of the Bell’Arte collection were chosen. These pieces fit perfectly in the space, visually and conceptually. The Bell’Arte collection is crafted entirely by hand using century-old techniques that have been passed down through generations. The painted details of the collection give off a traditional feel which was exactly what the designers were looking for.

Next up—the details. An obstacle the designers faced was incorporating the mirror wall. Instead of removing it, they embraced it! Botanical prints and magnolia plates dressed up the wall, giving it a whimsical vibe throughout the space. Playful details such as the hang square wall vases and glass domes filled with moss dress up the painted walls and table tops.

Classic pieces like the Aisling quatrefoil mirror and St. Augustine table lamp grounded the traditional style while still elevating the overall look.

Visit the ShowHouse now through May 12th located at the Lemak Estate on Cherokee Road.
