While Daniel Boulud, contributing editor to Elle Décor and infamous chef and restaurateur whips up a sensational cherry, white chocolate, pistachio and verbena verrine in the July/August issue, we’re sharing only the pound cake recipe with you. 1) It’s tried (by us) and truly as rich as he claims and 2) He shows it on one of our Madera cutting boards, from the Arhaus Table Collection introduced in select stores earlier this year.

For most people it happens once a year. But in a small Mexican village there’s a different story we’ve been celebrating for decades. Out of this quaint place comes one of our signature pieces.

At first glance it’s an unassuming copper table. But take a closer look and you’ll notice its pounded surface—pounded by hand over 3,500 times. You’ll also notice a unique hand-stamped monarch butterfly. Representing the thousands that migrate to this enchanting destination once a year.

Made out of recycled copper, artisans transform this handcrafted piece into something remarkable. Realizing its potential, its unparalleled beauty, year, after year. And so we celebrate and share this incredible story with you.
